(EORTC) developed the cancer-specific quality of life questionnaire (QLQ-C30), which includes five functions, nine symptoms, and a global health status. These questionnaires are completed by the patients themselves throughout the process of care. The recommended approaches for processing EORTC QLQ-C30 data are usuallydescriptiveandgraphic.

The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30 health-related quality of life questionnaire is one of the most widely used cancer-specific health-related quality of life questionnaires worldwide. General population norm data can facilitate the interpretation of QLQ-C30 data obtained from cancer patients. The EORTC QLQ-C30 is one of the most widely used quality of life questionnaires in cancer research. Availability of thresholds for clinical importance for the individual questionnaire domains could help to increase its interpretability. Clinical anchors (eg, performance status [PS]) were selected using correlation strength and clinical plausibility of their association with a particular QLQ-C30 scale. Three change status groups were formed: deteriorated by one anchor category, improved by one anchor category, and no change. Patients with greater anchor changes were excluded.

The effects of covariates, for example, gender, age, disease stage and so on, will also be investigated. We will examine how our estimated MIDs compare with previously published guidelines, hence further contributing to robust MID guidelines for the EORTC QLQ-C30.

Of the 100 patients, 66 were able to self CONCLUSIONS: Our Australian QLQ-C30 reference values provide normative benchmarks that facilitate interpretation of data for Australians with cancer in terms of burden of disease and its treatment. In survivorship studies and studies without pre-disease baseline data, comparisons with reference values can indicate the extent to which people have returned to better levels of health. e18551 Background: The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) is a widely used questionnaire, which assesses 15 patients’ self-reported health domains, including physical and emotional functioning and key cancer symptoms.
